Program Description
The Biology minor consists of 21–22 credit hours of coursework that introduce students to core biological concepts through BIOL 180 Biological Diversity and BIOL 190 Biological Unity. Students then select one hands on, applied course in either BIOL 280 Methods in Field Biology or BIOL 290 Basic Laboratory Techniques in Biology, which will develop practical skills in biological investigation. The minor is completed with approved 300 or 400 level biology courses, including at least one upper level laboratory course and one additional advanced biology course, providing a balanced foundation of conceptual knowledge and hands on experience in the biological sciences.
