Jacksonville University is approved as a participating institution in the “NC-SARA”, National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements.  As required by the NC-SARA student complaint process, complaints against a SARA participating institution must first go through the Jacksonville University grievance procedures. Those procedures are outlined in the grade appeal process in this catalog and in the student grievance process in the University Student Handbook (green pages). All complaints regarding student grades or conduct violations are governed by the institution and the laws of the institution’s home state.  If a student is not satisfied with the outcome of the institutional grievance process, the student may appeal to the Florida SARA (FL-SARA) portal agency.
