Program Description
The Exercise Science minor provides students with a foundational understanding of exercise, fitness, wellness, human movement, health, and physical performance. Students learn how the body responds and adapts to physical activity in the introductory course and in basic courses focused on anatomy, physiology, and nutrition. Students develop expertise by taking more advanced courses focused on fitness assessment, exercise prescription, exercise psychology, motor control, and biomechanics. This minor emphasizes both scientific principles and practical applications, preparing students to support health, wellness, and performance across diverse populations.
