Executive Master in Public Policy

The JU EMPP is a two-year, 39 credit hour program. It includes nine core courses, two-semester Capstone Policy Project, and two elective courses. One elective course is PPOL 661 Introduction to Public Administration. Students may take one policy oriented course at Jacksonville University College of Law as their other elective course.

Capstone Policy Project (six credit hours)

A Capstone Policy Project is required of all EMPP students. Students choose between working in a small group with a faculty advisor for a real world client organization on a public policy challenge or working with a faculty advisor on a policy question of the student’s choosing. Both options require a research paper and formal presentation to faculty members and policymakers.
