Biochemistry concentration important notes:
Students planning to attend graduate school in chemistry or biochemistry also should take Calculus III (MATH 240), and calculus based General Physics I and II (PHYS 151 & 152).
Students who wish to double major in Chemistry and Biology or Marine Science will only be allowed to double count those courses specifically required for both majors. Upper division electives may not be counted towards both majors simultaneously.
Students who wish to major in Chemistry and minor in Biology or Marine Science must take CHEM 437/437L (Biochemistry I and Lab) and CHEM 438/438LWI (Biochemistry II and Lab) to satisfy the requirements of the biochemistry concentration in chemistry major.
CHEM 206, CHEM207 and CHEM 306 may be taken more than once for a maximum of three credit hours towards chemistry major degree.
