Program Description

The Criminology minor provides an interdisciplinary overview of crime, criminal behavior, and the justice system. The curriculum analyzes how society defines, regulates, and prevents crime, with a focus on criminological theory, criminal justice responses to offending, and victimology. A minor in Criminal Justice complements majors in sociology, psychology, political science, chemistry, and many others. It prepares students for careers in law enforcement, social work, counseling, case management, or law by exploring the social, psychological, and institutional causes of crime.
