Program Description

The Sociology minor provides students with an understanding of how social structures, institutions, and cultural practices shape human behavior and social life. Students can choose from a variety of elective courses to explore human behavior in different contexts.
The Sociology minor complements a wide range of majors, including business, education, psychology, criminal justice, health sciences, and communication. By developing skills in critical thinking, research, and social analysis, the minor prepares students to work effectively in diverse social environments and to engage thoughtfully with complex social issues in their professions and communities.
